19TH CENTURY BURMESE ALTARPIECE

Another great piece; you can think of it as being the little brother of the large altarpiece already on the site.  This one is perfectly sized for a home, though, standing 24 inches tall.  The pink tag is the export tag so that you will know it was exported legally.  The buddha has a peaceful countenance and is closer to Bagan style than Mandalay.  Condition is fine, except for some corrosion consistent with age.  It was probably cleaned at some point.  A great centerpiece for a room.
