19TH C. IRON AND GILT NEPALESE CROWN

Pow! Zap!  The visual effect of this piece is simply wonderful.  It crackles with energy, and I had to buy it, although Nepalese things are not generally what we handle.  It stands 12 inches high; 20 inches with the stand.  It clearly has the patina of age;  but the condition is virtually perfect.  I love it!  Sotheby's is selling in it's '04 spring auction a Tibetan crown of the same style which is not nearly as nice, and the estimate is $6000 - $9000.
