19TH OR 20TH C. BRONZE LAO BUDDHA

This buddha has been out on consignment to a west coast dealer.  Since it is unlikely that my many European customers would see it, I am posting it here.  It has the wonderful idiosyncratic character that Laotian buddhas often have.  The elongated shape, cutout base and finial are all unusual, and yet another example of how much these buddhas are individual village productions.  It is one of several budhas from Laos that look almost African in certain ways.  24 inches tall.  It would be a central feature in any room.
