18TH C. WOODEN LACQUER SHAN/MANDALAY BUDDHA

This is a very early Mandalay style buddha, although slightly earlier than Mandalay period.  I has about the finest lacquer and glass work I have seen.  The picture speaks for itself, although I think the piece looks better in person.  It stands 14 inches high, and the condition is excellent. There is a an approximately one square inch break and loss of lacquer in the coccyx area.
