17TH C. PEWTER ARAKAN BUDDHA

An extremely rare  buddha, with the composition of pewter rather than bronze.  Because of this, it has attained a beautiful soft grayish smooth patina.  It also has a beautiful serene face.  I have not seen another one like this in all the years of looking.  It stands 11 inches tall, 13 inches with the stand.  One of the most unusual buddhas we have ever sold.
