20TH C. BRONZE SHAN BUDDHA A companion piece to the other Shan buddha that came from Hong Kong. Substantial, at 15" high. The oxidation of the iron in the metal has produced a lovely rust colored patination. The Burmese started putting iron into their bronzes in the later 19th century. This may be that old, but I am not sure, and therefore it is not being sold as antique. A very peaceful and lovely figure.
