14TH - 15TH CENTURY MAJAPAHIT KENDI A kendi is a water jug. Virtually all cultures have the equivalent. What amazes me about this particular piece are two things - the thinness of the clay, and the perfect curvature of the sides. [Having tried to throw a pot myself, I can tell you it is miraculous.] Incredibly lightweight, and it came through six hundred years without a scratch. Dimensions are 5 1/2" tall and 7" wide. $400
