19TH CENTURY SUKHOTHAI BUDDHA

Another Sukhothai Buddha - this one actually bought from a collector in the US.  I took this picture against a light background because it has a very dark, almost black patina and it just didn't show up against the black background I usually use.  Classic Sukhothai form with lovely lines and a deeply meditative face.  He stands 19 inches/47.5cm high.  There is an old bend in the back leg, but he stands solidly; and there are no other significant condition problems.  He was bought extremely well, and so the price is a relative bargain for a larger figure with legitimate age.
