17th-18th C. AYUTTHAYA BUDDHA
The collector from whom I bought this thinks it may be as early as 17th century. I think it may be slightly later, and that it represents a transitional style between the Ayutthaya and early Rattanakosin period. The mudra is the Dhyana (meditation), which is also unusual among Thai buddhas. It is 9” tall, and the gilding is 90% intact.
