18TH C. LAOTIAN BUDDHA

This is a large folk style buddha, as evidenced by the proportions of the hands and lower body.  It has a very meditative soulful face.  It probably sat on a base at one time, but as with many buddhas, the base was probably removed so that the metal could be reused.  It stands 20 1/2 inches high, and has no significant defects.
