18TH C. BRONZE LAOTIAN BUDDHA

On the most recent trip to Asia, I was fortunate to find a number of excellent Laotian buddhas, of which this is one example.  It is a folk style, with a powerful face and lovely hard brown patina which looks better in person.  It stands 10 inches high.  There is a slight ding to the finial, and loss to the base as pictured.  If my apartment were not already overrun with Laotian buddhas, I would keep it.  I think any buyer will bond very strongly to this piece, with its strength and soulfulness.
