18TH - 19TH C. BRONZE MANDALAY BUDDHA

I only buy Mandalay buddhas when the face has some life.  Many of them have blank or lifeless faces.  This one, in addition to having a kind face, also has great detail, a separately made left hand, and a very unusual dark green patina.  The patina and construction point to a very early dating in the period.  It stands 15 inches high, and is in excellent condition. This is really a cut above the normal Mandalay.
