18TH - 19TH C. SANDSTONE BUDDHA

 A powerful, deeply meditative buddha.  A large, very heavy piece, 17 inches tall.  The face is unusual, and very strong.  He sits in the dhayana (meditative) mudra, which is also less common.  Very skillfully carved, with great detail.  Condition is excellent.
