VERY LARGE 19th C. STANDING MANDALAY BUDDHA
In general I am not a giant fan of the Mandalay style, but this Buddha is slender and graceful, with wonderful flow, as well as being large and impressive. It also has a much more lovely face than most Mandalays one sees. It stands 38” high with the base, and the condition is excellent; just minor loss of the gilding showing the red lacquer underneath.
