19TH -20TH C. WOOD LAOTIAN BUDDHA

This wonderful folk/tribal buddha charmed me totally.  It has style, a large size, and a wonderful benign face - see the close up below.  One of the other dealers at the NY Tribal Show wanted to buy him  We could not agree on the price, so here he is.  He stands 37 inches high.  Some of the gilding has worn off, as shown, but the resulting patina is nicer than the gilding was.  There are no condition problems.  $2000
