15^th C. CHIANG SAEN BUDDHA
 

11 “ tall and 6 1/4 “wide at the base.  Unusual and beautiful emerald patination.  This buddha won a second prize in a Thai buddha competition (certificate supplied).  Usually prize winning buddhas are not sold by their owners.  Loss to the base as pictured, small excavation nick on the base below the foot and on the sash.  Delicate form.
