15th c. LAO BUDDHA
15 inches tall and 9 inches wide. Beautiful dark patina. Loss to the base. Lao buddhas have been underappreciated until recently; they are relatively scarce, and their value has been rapidly increasing. There are far fewer Lao buddhas in existence than Thai or Burmese; a buddha of this quality is very difficult to find now.
