19TH - 20TH C. BURMESE MARBLE BUDDHA

This lovely buddha is a mixed style, having some Mandalay features, but the draping of the robes is almost Gandharan.  It has extremely high quality and detailed carving, particularly in the hands and robe folds.  Albaster is extremely hard to carve in such detail.  It stands 14 inches high, and is quite heavy.  A very peaceful and graceful image.
